Contemporary is more of an all-encompassing type of dance. Pulling components from modern, jazz, lyrical, and classical ballet, contemporary dance has a little of everything. Contemporary, by definition, means to exist or happen at the same time. Contemporary is often used to describe a type of dance that is created in the present or recent past, breaking away from traditional techniques and styles! In this class we will experiment with new ideas, learning and creating a new style rooted in classical techniques we all know and love. We hope you’ll give contemporary dance a try!
